About the apartment
This is 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. Both bedrooms are about 10'x11' and receive a generous amount of sunlight. Each bedroom is attached to a bathroom of its own. You know that roommate that never replaces the toilet paper once it's out? Well, I'm not that guy. And even if I were, you wouldn't have to worry about it, because we each have our own bathrooms. There's pretty sizeable closet space, too. We'd share a kitchen, living room, laundry room, and storage. That's right, storage! This apartment has so much space that it actually has two designated "gear walls," aka where my gym bag and snowboarding stuff go when I'm not using it (which is most of the time). The apartment itself is pretty well-decorated thanks to previous tenants, but you'd be welcome to help make this place your own.
A previous roommate left bedroom furniture in the apartment, but I can get rid of that if you have your own. Utilities include electricity, cable, and Internet, and run somewhere between $70-$100/month per person. I've lived here for a few years and haven't had too many problems with the apartment, especially since it's relatively new, but there's a maintenance team on-site, which can come in handy. First, last, and security expected upon move-in.
About the building
The complex has a lot of shared common space for its residents. The building went up in 2008 and the construction and design reflects that. Most of the neighbors are young professionals - no Mr. Heckles around these parts. There's a lounge on each floor that sort of makes the place feel like college, but without the random BB gun fights. There's not much else that you could want in a space: a rooftop deck with a few grilling areas, an outdoor lounge with a firepit, and a pool. That's right, a pool. Sure, we only get three weeks of real summer around here, but you can enjoy those three weeks at the pool.
There's also garage parking if you're willing to cough up a few bucks for it, but that's between you and building management. Just in case the gear walls aren't enough for you, they also offer bike storage. There's a decent gym and, and there are a bunch of pretty good takeout options nearby. Did I mention that there's a pool?
About me
I'm a 30 year old guy who works long hours. I'm not home often, and when I am, I'm either sleeping, hanging out with my dog, or running errands. I have friends over every so often, host the occasional poker night, etc., but nothing too wild. I'm neat, clean up after myself, and expect the same courtesy from you. I'm also tall, which is good for reaching tall shelves and warding off ghosts. My dog is my responsibility, but my sister pitches in when I'm working nights, so you're not expected to help out with the dog at all.
About you
You're not an asshole. You're employed or in school with dependable income. You pay rent on time. Since there's already a dog in the house, it's probably best if you don't have pets, but I wouldn't rule them out completely. Ideally, you would be committing to at least six months here, because no one likes apartment/roommate hunting. If things work out, we can talk about getting you on the lease. You're fine with pitching in around the house and cleaning up after yourself, and you're good with splitting things like toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning supplies. You don't do anything stupid like write on the walls in permanent marker as a way to "express yourself." And lastly, you're not an asshole.
Sound good? Tell me the name of your favorite Muppet so that I know you read this whole thing, and let's talk.
